Dr Andreea Pavel is the HIP (Management of Hypotension in the Preterm) Study Research Fellow with the Department of Paediatrics and Child Health in the University College Cork.
Since the beginning of her medical training, Andreea's interest in research has grown. Her intention is to undertake a PhD project with focus on the challenges in the care of preterm infants in Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.

2013 – 2016 Neonatal and Paediatric Registrar, at Cork University Maternity Hospital and Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, respectively.
2011 – 2013 Neonatal and Paediatric SHO at The Rotunda Hospital and Wexford General Hospital, respectively.
- In 2006, Andreea graduated from “Ovidius” Medical University, Romania.
- She completed her 5-year postgraduate training in Paediatrics at Paediatric Clinical Hospital Sibiu, Romania.
- During her training she did several presentations at national and international meetings.
- Guided by outstanding mentors, from both Romania and Ireland, she discovered a special interest in neonatology. Her intention is to focus in this area.
