Josephine has worked in clinical research for over 25 years. She has most recently worked as Clinical Research Facility Manager at St George’s University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
She was responsible for the clinical research delivery staff working in the Clinical Research Facility and across the organisation. Until October 2012, Jo was Clinical Director (Nursing) of the Clinical Research Facility at UCLH. In addition to responsibility for the CRF, she was also responsible for the Clinical Research Nurses across the organisation.
Prior to this, she was Clinical Research Facilities Manager at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust. She was responsible for the overarching management of the adult Clinical Research Facilities based at St Thomas’ and Guy’s. She was the Lead Nurse for the Sir John McMichael Centre for Clinical Research at Hammersmith Hospital.
She trained as a registered nurse at UCH London and became a clinical research nurse at Imperial College in the Department of Clinical Pharmacology in 1989 after completing a degree in Anthropology and Geography at UCL.
