Karen Ní Cheallacháin

Karen is a Ph.D candidate at INFANT and the Cork Centre for Vitamin D and Nutrition Research, University College Cork. Her research interests include the role of nutrition during pregnancy and the early neonatal period, in particular the effects of calcium and vitamin D.

Her work at INFANT focuses on the dietary requirement for vitamin D in pregnancy, which is currently being assessed in the DMAT (Nutritional Requirements for Vitamin D in Pregnancy) Study.
