Sophie is a PhD researcher at INFANT. Her research ultimately aims to determine the downstream targets and effects of cerebral microRNA alterations in neonatal hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy using animal and cell models.

This research will provide novel insight into the roles of altered microRNAs in the brain following hypoxia and the effects of microRNA manipulation in relevant cell models.
