Gillian is a PhD student on the Structured Population and Health Services Research Education (SPHeRE) programme. Her background is in Epidemiology and Public Health and her PhD involves examining the impact of hypertensive disorders of pregnancy on neurodevelopmental outcomes in the offspring.

  • 2016-present: PhD student on the SPHeRE Programme, Department of Epidemiology and Public Health, University College Cork and INFANT Centre, Cork University Maternity Hospital.
  • 2015-2016: MSc Public Health, Department of Epidemiology and Public Health, University College Cork.
  • 2011-2015 B.Sc (Hons.) Public Health and Health Promotion, Department of Epidemiology and Public Health, University College Cork.

 

Professional Activities/Achievements: 

  • Quercus College Scholar based on first, second and third year B.Sc exam results from the Department of Epidemiology and Public Health, UCC in 2012, 2013 and 2014.

  • Awarded Health Research Board Summer Studentship in 2014.

  • Received Sir Charles Cameron Prize for final year examinations in B.Sc Public Health and Health Promotion in 2015.
