Rachel Williamson graduated in Pharmaceutical Biotechnology at the Cork Institute of Technology in 2013. She has recently graduated with a Masters by research degree.

Research Interests:

 Rachel's research has assessed the molecular and cellular mechanisms regulated by Magnesium Sulphate in an in vitro model of the human placenta.

Rachel is currently undertaking a PhD to elucidate the direct targeting of mitochondrial antioxidants as a potential therapeutic strategy for treating pre-eclampsia.
