Shuwen Yu is a first-year PhD student of INFANT and University College Cork. His research interest is using machine learning to model neonatal brain. The relationship between EEG and heart rate variability, hypertension, and seizure are not very clear, which makes it difficult to determine when and whether to treat. To make thing worse, instead of having a general threshold different babies have personalized health. Fortunately, machine learning has the potential to model this problem with augmented parameters for individual health.
