Aoife joined the INFANT Research Centre in January 2026 as a Neurophysiologist working on the AIM-HIGH study. Her role involves using electroencephalography (EEG) and visual evoked potential (VEP) studies to assess for early markers of cerebral palsy with the aim of earlier diagnosis and intervention.

Aoife completed a BSc in Physiology at University College Cork in 2023, followed by a MSc in Clinical Measurement Physiology at University College Cork, graduating in 2025. Her MSc thesis, completed with the INFANT Research Centre was titled “Using Electroencephalography to Assess the Impact of Encephalopathy on Sleep Architecture in Newborn Infants.”
