Our work with JnJ

ENRICH Programme

In 2017, INFANT started an ambitious research collaboration with Johnston & Johnson Consumer Inc. This programme called the Baby Enrichment Research Programme (ENRICH), is co-funded by Johnson & Johnson Consumer and Science Foundation Ireland (SFI).

Studies have shown that brain development and learning are heavily influenced by sleep. Regular, quality sleep helps to optimise physical growth and brain plasticity, while a lack of sleep has been linked to long term negative impacts on behaviours and learning ability. The interventional study, extending over two years, aims to explore the
effects of lifestyle and sensory stimulation on the cognitive development of infants.
